Lifelong Learning Week 2021

Lifelong Learning Week is an annual week of events and activities organised by the Festival of Learning and the Learning and Work Institute. This week is a fantastic opportunity to consider both our personal and corporate perception of learning, as well as to acknowledge and celebrate the immediate and long-term benefits of both informal and formal education.

Whilst we are constantly learning and acquiring knowledge, “lifelong learning is about creating and maintaining a positive attitude to learning both for personal and professional development”.

The benefits of lifelong learning are varied and wide-ranging. Being open to new information and opportunities to enhance your understanding not only broadens your experience, increases your confidence and enriches your personal life, but it can improve your career prospects, expands your horizons and enables you to be less risk adverse and more adaptable to change.
